Featured vocalist Kai Combs, fondly referred to as "Lady K", began singing gospel
music at a young age. Her love of jazz music and her unique Motown sound developed while accompanying her father, an accomplished
guitar player and vocalist working the Motown scene in Detroit during the 1960's. She was lead vocalist for The Highliters,
a rock and soul band who have been featured at Omaha's summer jazz festivals, and later became one of the lead vocalist of
Full Flava, which quickly became one of the hottest and most popular R&B groups in Omaha. Kai has performed at numerous
clubs and private parties, including the renowned Zoo Bar and Rococo Theater in Lincoln, NE which have hosted some of the
greatest blues and jazz musicians in the world. She was a featured vocalist at the 2002 Taste of Omaha Festival, sharing a
ticket with the world famous, 5th Dimention. Whether belting out a funky rendition of Aretha's "Chain of Fools" or Sade's
sultry groove "Sweetest Taboo", Lady K is always a crowd pleaser!
